Map out your company goals and get focused

PlanHQ Howto | Tim Norton | 6 Comments

Mapping out your goals helps you and the team visualise whats going to be achieved and when its going to happen. When you lay your goals out in front of you, you really re-enforce to yourself and your team what the business is focused on. The crew here have been working for sometime on making it easier to map out your goals, and here’s what it looks like.

We’ve just gone live with this, so if you’re a customer, go over to your goals tab and check it out. Let us know what you think.

[...] If you get overdue, then rather than giving up on your plan and just getting back into the day to day, you need to get back on top of your goals, re-schedule some, maybe merge a couple together and put a few on the back-burner. We’ve just made it a lot easier to re-shedule your goals in PlanHQ and you can drag and drop your goals around the timeline to map out your goals. [...]

  4. Fantastic, I think I need to convert many of my actions into goals, as currently my goals are very high level, with lots of actions. I was kind of loosing track of things, but with this view I can get a visual on everything. Have you thought of a ‘convert action to goal’ function?

  5. Thanks, we’re getting soem good feedback on this.

Tim S - We had a feeling the difference between Goal and Actions wasn’t very clear, and you can use them at different levels. We probably wouldn’t end up doing a convert action to goal, but I can see why its going to be a pain for you to turn several actions into goals. Let us know how you go and we’ll see what we can do.
